Founded in the United Kingdom in 2023, Emutrix seeks to deliver high-performance emulation solutions, with a focus on embedded platforms.

Our mission is to bring the true experience of the golden years of retro gaming to both the generation that experienced them the first time around, and the new generation that hasn’t.

To capture the attention of young gamers, retro gaming products need to meet higher-than-ever consumer expectations, both in terms of quality and price; we strive to be the answer to this problem.

That means enabling license holders of classic games to bring new products to market at a more attractive cost, and it also means researching and developing the best quality emulation technology that we can.

Existing approaches have involved using open source PC software which is difficult to develop and often too slow, not to mention the ever-present legal landmine of Copyleft licenses. In contrast, our software has been designed from the ground up to be fast, easily-embeddable and free of any viral open source licenses. We can also leverage our extensive knowledge of the software to quickly meet client needs.

As part of our work, we wish to inspire and cultivate a culture of pride and quality in the industry, doing what we can to tune and calibrate products to ensure that players live or re-live the true experience of classic video games.
